Publishing gives a book its direction.

Éditions Octant publishes books attentive to the questions that shape a human life—works that help readers find their bearings without drawing the route for them.

Our point of view

A house for voices that take their time.

An octant does not choose the destination. It helps you read the horizon. That is also how we think about books.

We are interested in essays, spirituality, stories of transformation, and reflective nonfiction. Our catalogue can welcome many voices, languages, and ways of seeing the world—with the same commitment to clarity and responsibility.

Small by choice, the house moves one title at a time. Every project must have a reason to exist, a recognizable voice, and something lasting to offer its reader.

Our editorial compass

Care is not a finishing touch. It is the method.

01

Clarity

Demanding ideas should remain readable without being simplified until their meaning disappears.

02

Respect

Traditions, experiences, and readers deserve better than shortcuts and inflated certainty.

03

Responsibility

We distinguish invitation, testimony, and fact. A book does not escape its consequences.

04

Independence

We publish selectively, move without artificial urgency, and keep form in service of meaning.
